GONOGO SOLUTIONS LLC is a full-circle platform led by Mario de la Fuente Revenga, PhD, PharmD. 

Mario moves swiftly on uncharted territory across different therapeutic areas, always glancing over safety. He has experience leading drug discovery programs, providing technical expertise in the due diligence process, and supporting internal and external work as a consultant.

Having pioneered the exploration of methodologies that can help us understand how psychedelics work and what they can do for us, he puts emphasis on the translational value of preclinical models. This is better exemplified by his work on the full automation of predictor models of psychedelic action in humans, the development of a novel methodology to measure molecular biomarkers of psychedelics action directly in the brain, along with his expertise on established therapeutic-area relevant assays.

Among other accomplishments, he has co-authored over 30 original articles dealing with different aspects of psychedelics, their pharmacology, and their therapeutic potential. He contributed to a recently licensed patent, and is the co-inventor in three provisional and one granted patents describing novel tryptamine-inspired drug candidates.

His work has largely focused on mechanistic insights that can help link their chemistry, pharmacology, and ultimate manifestation of effects. Mario authored the first report on psychoplastogens present in Ayahuasca (and purportedly, in the pineal gland). His discovery efforts also materialized in his recent work describing the molecular underpinnings of immediate and delayed effects of psychedelics and the exploration of ‘atypical’ chemical scaffolds in the serotonergic space.

He is honored to have worked alongside some of the brightest minds in psychedelic science, including Javier González-Maeso PhD and the late Jordi Riba PhD.
